APPEAL! Not given. Josh Little goes fuller and angles it in from around off. Michael Bracewell shuffles across looks to punch it back past the bowler but misses and the ball flicks the pads on its way to the keeper. Huge appeal from the bowler but it is turned down! Not sure whether they are claiming a catch or going up for lbw but it is being checked. UltraEdge is checked first and there is a flat line as the ball passes the bat and the Ball Tracking shows that the impact is well outside off.

FIVE WIDES! A wild delivery from Little, a gift really. Little tries to bowl a yorker at the toes but the ball slips out of his hands and end up being a high full toss, way down the leg side. The ball eludes the batter and the diving keeper to race away into the fine leg fence. New Zealand are a hit away now from victory!

On a good length, angling into the body. Bracewell shuffles a bit and works it towards mid-wicket for one.

Full and straight, firmly pushed back towards the bowler who misfields and the ball goes towards long on. The batters get across for a single.

Nicely bowled! Drifting into off, on a length and just turning away a touch. Mitchell Santner tries to block off the front foot but misses and gets hit high on the back leg.

This is angled into middle and leg, Santner blocks it out.

OUT! CAUGHT! Mitchell Santner holes out and provides a lifeline to Ireland! This is tossed up again by Simi Singh, around middle and leg. Santner dances down the track and looks to flick it aerially over the mid-wicket fence but ends up lifting it high and straight to the fielder. Curtis Campher settles under it and takes a comfortable catch in the deep. Suddenly, New Zealand are 7 down with 20 runs still left to get.

SIX! Gorgeous timing on that and what a way to bring up his FIFTY! Tossed up around off, Tom Latham dances down the track and with utmost ease just lofts it over the mid-wicket fence for a maximum.

OUT! LBW! Fifty and out for Tom Latham and Ireland are right back in it! Simi Singh delivers the arm ball, this one pitches on middle and just keeps on coming in with the angle. Latham is pushed onto the back foot as he looks to work it away. The ball skids on and pings Latham on the back pad. The finger is raised immediately after the appeal and Singh has the breakthrough. Surprisingly, there's no review from the skipper and he walks back in disappointment. The replay shows that it was a good decision not to review as the ball was hitting the leg stump.

OUT! RUN OUT! A direct hit from the deep and Ireland have a wicket against the run of play. You just cannot keep Curtis Campher out of the game. He keeps adding value to this team. Flighted and full, around off, Henry Nicholls goes down on one knee and sweeps it through square leg. They complete a single and try for the second run. Campher attacks the ball in the deep and hits the bull's eye at the striker's end as Nicholls dives in. They appeal and the umpire goes upstairs. The Irish players are celebrating already. The replays show that Nicholls is well short of the crease. 85 runs needed in 154 balls.

Close call! Back of a length and outside off, Tom Latham mistimes the cut shot towards point and looks for the single. His partner sends him back as Harry Tector fires in a throw from the point region. Tector misses and if he had hit, Latham would have been struggling.

FOUR! Well-timed and the 100-run partnership is up between these two! Back of a length again and around off, Latham plays it a bit late and caresses it behind point for a boundary.

OUT! CAUGHT! The man with the golden arm does it again! Curtis Campher goes full and angles it into middle and leg, Finn Allen looks to just loft it over the man at mid on but gets it off the toe end of the bat. The ball is chipped towards Josh Little and he makes no mistake inside the ring. A much-needed breakthrough then for Ireland and Allen departs after a fiery knock. 116 needed now off 33 overs.

FIFTY! Finn Allen gets to his half century. This is floated on middle, Finn Allen flicks it past mid-wicket for a single. A lovely knock from the opener after a nervy start. He survived that phase and has looked fluent since then. Can he continue and score big here?

A bit short outside off, Tom Latham punches it to sweeper cover for a run.

Short again outside off, turning in. Finn Allen forces it towards long on for a single.

Big appeal for LBW! This is full and on middle, Allen goes for the reverse sweep but misses and gets hit on his pads. The fielders appeal but the finger stays down. Ireland decide not to take the review.

FOUR! Finn Allen seems to be in a hurry here and all of a sudden has moved to 49. This is fuller and on leg, Allen whips it away past the man at mid-wicket for a boundary.

Starts with a flatter and quicker delivery, drifting into the pads. Finn Allen tries to work it away but gets hit on his pads.

Wide! Tossed up on middle, turning down the leg side. Allen misses his flick. It is called a wide.

FOUR BYES! Through everyone! This is a bit quicker and flatter, turning in from around middle. Finn Allen rocks back looking to pull it away but it isn't that short. The ball turns in and goes agonizingly close past the leg stump and into the fine leg fence. 

Shorter in length and around off, this is punched off the back foot towards sweeper cover for one.

FOUR! Josh Little is greeted with a boundary! Starts off with a loosener, shorter and on middle, Tom Latham rocks back and pulls it hard and behind square on the leg side for a boundary.

This time on the other side! Short and wide, this is cut away through the point region for a couple of runs.

Leg bye! Little angles this one into the body, Latham tries to fend it away but misses and the ball goes off the pads towards backward square leg. They get a leg bye.

Keeps it short and bowls it around off, Finn Allen with a swivel-pull down to deep backward square leg for a single.

Goes fuller this time, around off. Latham presses forward and caresses it towards backward point. The call is of no but a slight fumble by the fielder allows the batters to sneak in a run.

Shortish and on off, Allen stays back and plays it down on the off side. Not in the gap.

Full and wide outside off, Allen tries to hammer it through the line but it takes the inner edge and runs towards mid on. A good diving stop inside the ring.

Hurls across a length ball outside off, Allen shoulders arms.

Mistimed shot! Fuller in length outside off, Allen tries to fire it over extra cover but ends up slicing it behind backward point. The ball lands safely in the deep and they get two runs.

FOUR! No stopping this one! Back of a length, around off, Finn Allen eases himself on the back foot and packs a punch through covers for a boundary. Boom.

Short in length and outside off, Allen goes on the back foot and taps it down to cover-point.  At the end of Powerplay 1, New Zealand are 56 for 2.

Shortish and angling down the leg side, Latham tries to pull but doesn't middle his shot. It takes the inner edge and goes to fine leg. The batters cross.

SIX! This is an enormous hit! Finn Allen has decided to attack now. Fuller in length and wide outside off, Allen flexes his muscles and dismisses it over long off for a maximum.

FOUR! Fires a gunshot this time. Fuller again, outside off, Finn drills his drive through extra cover and it hurries away to the fence.

FOUR! Finn Allen is in top gear. His attack has put off the bowler. A low full toss around off, Allen just shows the full face of his bat and caresses it through mid off for a boundary.

FOUR! It's raining boundaries from the bat of Finn Allen. Adair overcorrects his length. Bangs it in short and around leg, Allen swivels and pulls it down to fine leg for a boundary.

FOUR! Finn Allen is opening his arms now. Fractionally short in length, around off, Allen turns inside the crease and pulls it powerfully to the deep square leg fence.

Good reply from the bowler. Bowls it full and outside off, holding its line, Allen does well to let it go. Craig Young should look to make him drive rather than testing him with the short ball.

Full again, around off, Allen gets close to the line of the delivery and bunts it down to mid on.

SIX! All the way! A little too full and around off, Finn Allen finds it in his zone and powers it all the way over long off for a maximum.

Fuller and on off, holding its line from there, Latham closes the face of his bat early as he attempts to flick. The ball takes the leading edge and scoots through backward point for a run.

Wide! Adair bowls it quite wide outside off, from over the wicket, Allen makes a leave.

Fullish around leg, angling down, Allen walks across the stumps, trying to flick but misses. It takes his pads and goes to the keeper.

Almost drags it on. Short in length and outside off, Allen tries to turn and pull but it takes the bottom edge and beats the stumps by a whisker. The keeper fumbles and they cross for a run.

Unplayable! That's a gem. Craig Young serves it on a fuller length around off, Finn Allen is forced to play the line but it nips away a wee bit to beat the outside edge.

Inswinger on this occasion, on a fuller length around off, Finn Allen is solidly behind the line as he blocks.

Delivers it on a length and around off, Finn defends it from the back foot to the off side. Allen is known for his attacking batting but he has been kept quiet so far.

Maiden! Back of a length, around off, Finn goes on his toes and pushes it defensively to covers. Excellent comeback by Craig after conceding 10 runs in his first over.

Adair switches to around the wicket and bowls it on a shortish length outside off, Latham covers the line and shoulders arms. This angle troubled Tom during the Test series in England where Broad had him at sea.

Beauty! Adair putting the 'round the wicket angle to use. He puts it on a length around off, Latham tries to play the angle but gets beaten by the away movement. Two slips waiting for any edge.

FOUR! Beautiful shot! Craig Young goes searching for swing and overpitches in the process. It's outside off and Latham plays a crunchy drive through cover-point for a boundary.

Fuller again, around off, Latham plays yet another well-timed drive but finds the wide mid off fielder.

FOUR! The New Zealand skipper is dealing in boundaries at the moment. Back of a length, around off, Tom Latham goes on the back foot and punches it sweetly through point. 

The line is straight this time, Tom tucks it behind square leg for a run.

Young feeds it on a good length, around off and gets it to straighten from there. Finn stays back to work it on the leg side but gets a leading edge. It runs down to third man and Allen opens his account with a single.

On a good length outside off, angling away, Latham defends it from the back foot to the off side. 10 from the over, New Zealand trying to recover after early blows.

OUT! BOWLED! Martin Guptill bags a golden duck. What a start from Mark Adair! He nails his yorker to perfection.
