But now they have started putting away the bad balls as well. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins didn't get much purchase with the hard new ball and even in the first innings, both of them got the softer ball to reverse and got their wickets. Nathan Lyon has troubled the batters at times but hasn't created a clear-cut opportunity yet. A total of 31 overs were bowled in the final session, with 98 runs being scored and just one wicket going down. Another fascinating day of Test cricket and with just one day remaining in the Test series, we still don't know which team is going to win or even for that matter if there's going to be a winner at all.

The opening pair of Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique has remained rock solid in the final session and due to their efforts, this game hangs right in the balance. Imam and Shafique have added on 73 runs for the opening wicket and reduced the target well under 300 runs. This stand has made sure the hosts have a real chance on the final day of the Test match to not only save it but maybe to snatch the win off Australia's hands. They will have to bat patiently and put away the bad balls though if they do go for the win but Babar Azam will be fairly pleased with how things have ended on Day 4.

Australia will be a bit disheartened with that bowling performance but they still have plenty of runs to defend on the final day and given their performance in the first innings, the ball reversed pretty late in the innings. So, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will still be a big threat for the opposition batters. They now have the dilemma to either press the issue early on the final day and take the risk of conceding runs or just stem the flow of runs and then attack later in the day.

However, they would be a little nervous coming into this final day since they were unable to break the opening stand at the end of Day 4. We did witness Pakistan crumble in the first innings and Australia will be hoping they can do the same. A few quick wickets and Australia would be on top.

Pakistan would be pleased to end the day without losing any wickets, but they still have a long way to go. They will be hoping to pile on more runs without losing many wickets in the first session. Although, it’s not going to be easy since there will some reverse-swing on offer which could prove to be threatening for the Pakistani batters. Another riveting session of this Test match comes to an end. Australia would be happier of the two sides going into Lunch as they have got those two crucial wickets. Although, Pakistan have managed to score 63 runs from 33 overs in this session and they still have two in-form batters at the crease. The spinners though are getting a lot of turn off the surface and Pakistan's batters will need to be at their very best going ahead.

Starc and Cummins also kept bowling tight lines and lengths and did not allow the batters to free their arms. Lyon spun the ball sharply and he got the prized scalp of Azhar Ali. For Pakistan, Imam-ul-Haq has held one end and he batted well. Although, he will need to bat deep and make sure that he stitches a big partnership along with his skipper. They still need 215 runs to win and they cannot afford to lose wickets heading into the latter stages of this Test match.

WOW! What an end to this enthralling Test series. Australia are touring Pakistan after 24 long years, and they won the Benaud-Qadir Trophy 1-0. After a couple of draws at Rawalpindi and Karachi, Australia has managed to come out on top in Lahore. They have completely outclassed the hosts and the No.1 ranked Test side thoroughly deserves to win this three-match series. Pakistan would be proud of the way they played throughout the series but disappointed at the end of this game, as their openers toiled hard on Day 4 but they never looked like chasing down the target after losing Abdullah Shafique early on in the first session on Day 5.

Australia have dominated this Test match and they have justified their decision of declaring much earlier on Day 4. It was a combined effort from their batting department which set the tone for them in the first innings. Although, they were under the pump with the ball in the first innings, as Pakistan was cruising along at 248/3. But the duo of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins came roaring back and ensured that Australia get a handy lead in the first innings. Pakistan lost 7 wickets for just 20 runs and that proved to be the turning point in this Test. The Aussies piled on more runs with the bat in the second innings and it was Usman Khawaja who brought up his second century of the Test series. Australia set a target of 351 for Pakistan and their bowlers gave it their all on Day 5. The GOAT, Nathan Lyon grabbed a five-fer, which also included the prized scalp of Babar Azam. It was Pat Cummins who wrapped things up for his side and he finished with three wickets to his name.

Pakistan conceded 391 runs with the ball in the first innings but their batters got them off to a great start as well. Abdullah Shafique, Azhar Ali and Babar Azam made some vital contributions but they completely fell apart when Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc had their tail up with a relatively old ball. They lost wickets in quick succession and conceded a lead of 123 runs in the first innings. In the end, they were set a target of 351 and they did start well on Day 4, thanks to their openers, Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq. However, apart from Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq, none of their batters managed to get in and score big and that cost them. Mohammad Rizwan didn't review when he was adjudged LBW and had he sent it upstairs, things could have been different for Pakistan. But having said that, Australia was just too good for Pakistan in this Test and they deserved to win this Test as well as the series.
