DROPPED! Heart-in-mouth moment for India and South Africa. But cannot blame the bowler here. Such catches either stick or they don't. Full, around off, Temba Bavuma looked to drive straight. But the ball hit a patch of grass and bounced a tad extra. Hence, it hit the higher part of the bat. As a result, Bavuma was unable to control the shot and spooned it straight back. Now, Thakur is a right-arm fast bowler and when he is running from over the wicket, the momentum takes him to the left. But the ball comes to his right. Thakur realizes it but perhaps goes a bit too early, being a bit too anxious. He maybe, anticipated the ball to come quickly but it came a tad slower. He stuck his right hand out but the ball hit his palm and dropped down.

The ball comes in with the angle but after pitching, the ball moves away late. That squares van der Dussen up and he tries his best to follow the ball.
