In the last league match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans outmuscled Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs at the National Stadium in Karachi on March 12 (Tuesday). With the victory, Mohammad Rizwan's Multan Sultans ended the league stage with the best record, occupying the top spot with seven wins in 10 matches played. Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi finished as the second-best team in the league stage, and now the scene is set for Rizwan and Babar to face off against each other in the Qualifier.
PSL playoffs schedule
The PSL playoffs are scheduled to commence on March 14 (Thursday) and the first match is slated to set the stage for what is about to come. The two most dominant teams of the season - Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi - will battle in a high-octane clash with a finals berth on the line.
The contest will witness two of Pakistan cricket's superstars in action and the fans are already licking their lips in anticipation of watching Babar and Rizwan battle against each other once again.
Islamabad to play Quetta in Eliminator 1
On March 15 (Friday), Islamabad United will cross swords against the Quetta Gladiators in Eliminator 1. It will be a do-or-die situation for both teams as the loser will go home while the winner will live to fight another day.
Both Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators finished with identical records in the league stage. Both teams won five of their 10 matches and finished with 11 points each.
With a better Net Run Rate (NRR), Islamabad United pipped Quetta Gladiators for third place in the points table
Eliminator 2 on March 16
The loser of the match between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi will cross swords against the winner of the game between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators in Eliminator 2 on March 16 (Saturday).

The final of the competition is scheduled to be played on March 18 (Sunday) at the National Stadium in Karachi.
