About Ehsan Adil
Another name among some of the emerging fast bowlers from Pakistan, Ehsan Adil has impressed at the domestic level for Habib Bank Limited and Faisalabad Wolves picking up wickets consistently. He also played for the Pakistan Under-19 squad in the 2012 Under-19 World Cup.
In just his inaugural first class season, Ali made headlines in the domestic ring of Pakistan cricket by emerging as the second highest wicket-taker in the President's Trophy, playing for Habib Bank. The Pakistani selectors who rarely shy away from picking up raw talented fast bowlers, decided to induct Adil in the Pakistan national side for the tour of South Africa.
Injuries to first-choice bowlers saw Adil receive his first Test cap in the final Test in Centurion. His only contribution with the ball came in the first innings, when he got the wicket of Graeme Smith off the third delivery he bowled in international cricket and then got rid of Faf du Plessis. Adil entered the Pakistan team during a time when many of Pakistan's young guns are battling it out to be regular members of the Pakistan squad. He hasn't sneaked his nose ahead of the pack yet, but strong domestic performances can be crucial aid.
