A part-time male model, Kabir Ali is a right-arm seam bowler and a useful batsman down the order. He made his first-class debut for Worcestershire in 1999 and ended up with decent figures of 2/36 & 1/22. He continued the good run and made another impressive debut this time in the List A scalping 4/29. The hard work finally paid off as he had scintillating 2002-03 domestic seasons picking up 138 first-class wickets.

Brilliant performances at the Adelaide academy paved the way for his selection to the England ODI squad. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2003 but the game was unfortunately washed out and he didn't have a role to play. He had a blistering start to his Test career as he picked up 5 wickets in the fourth Test against South Africa in 2003, including a wicket in his very first over. He is a hard working cricketer who hits the deck hard. His best time came in the 2004 South African ODI series when he scalped 13 wickets, highest by any, but England went on to lose the series 4-1. He impressed in patches and incessant injuries made sure that he was overlooked for selection in the future. In 2010, he joined Hampshire and continued with his impressive performances. A part of Hampshire’s winning T20 side in 2012, he was automatically an inclusion for his county’s first-ever Champions League T20 outing.
