Phil Mustard is a young and promising wicketkeeper-batsman who is a bright future prospect for England. His productive domestic seasons with Durham was rewarded with a call into the England team for 2007 Sri Lanka tour. Australian great Shane Warne rates him as the best one-day wicketkeeper-batsman in England.

With the reputation of an attacking batsman, the left-hander did not disappoint as he made an explosive start to all his innings on his debut ODI series. He is capable off clearing the boundary ropes with ease. The southpaw has wide range of attacking shots and is a useful player with the fielding restrictions on in the one-day games. The gloveman is also very athletic and sharp behind the stumps.

The Durham wicket-keeper has put up a decent show in the limited opportunities that he has been given. Mustard is certainly one of the young guns that England can bank on in the near future.
