Prasidh Krishna, hailing from Bengaluru, was born on 19th February 1996 in Bangalore. Krishna first made his mark when Bangladesh's A team toured India, and he picked up 5 for 49 in the first match, which was also his first-class debut for Karnataka. He then made his List-A debut during the 2016-17 season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and his T20 debut for Karnataka during the 2017-18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He went on to become Karnataka’s leading wicket-taker during the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy, scalping 17 wickets in just 8 matches.

When Kamlesh Nagarkoti, a young pace bowler, got injured in the 2018 season, the Kolkata franchise roped in Prasidh Krishna as his replacement for the Indian Premier League. He made his debut in the tournament on 6th May, 2018 against Mumbai, when another young pacer Shivam Mavi also got injured. Soon Krishna became the mainstay of the Kolkata franchise and represented them regularly in the Indian Premier League. Krishna was handed his maiden ODI cap in 2021 during the ODI series against England. In his debut game in Pune, the speedster registered figures of 4 for 54 in India's win.
