About Sachin Baby
Born on 18th December, 1988, Sachin Baby was named after the legend himself largely thanks to his father being an ardent Sachin Tendulkar fan. However, that's where the similarity ends as Baby is a left-handed batsman. The Thodupuza, Kerala born player can also bowl a little bit of off spin if really needed. Baby is a vital player for his Ranji team Kerala but hasn't really been consistent. In fact his maiden century came in his 25th first-class match where he went on to score an unbeaten 200 against Hyderabad.
The southpaw however is much better when it comes to limited overs cricket, with a List A average of just above 40. He captained Kerala to a top four finish in the 2012-2013 Vijay Hazare Trophy where his quarter-final century played a crucial role in their progress. The 28-year old played his first and only IPL game for Rajasthan in the 2013 season before joining Bangalore in 2016. With a strike-rate of just over 150, Baby showed his big hitting ability and was a key member in the middle order of the star-studded Bangalore batting department.
