About Sneha Deepthi
The Capitals Universe is nothing but proud to have Sneha Deepthi join us for the TATA WPL march. Sneha is the first cricketer to have made a comeback just eight months after delivering her baby. Her devotion to cricket drives everyone crazy!
Sneha has had her share of ups and downs. Once the youngest T20I debutant for India, the 26-year-old mom has broken all stereotypes and come back on the field. She now eyes the marquee event.
Sneha made her debut in 2013 for the national team in a T20I series against Bangladesh but was dropped right after. However, she kept representing her State, Andhra Pradesh in List-A cricket and also captained her side in the 2021-22 season. She also led Vizianagaram Royals to clinch the title in the inaugural Andhra Premier League. But as soon as she and her family found out she was pregnant, she was off the field.
Long after her daughter’s birth, Sneha was demotivated by her husband and family to continue playing cricket. But the one thing that deeply motivated her was her videos of hitting the ball out of the park. Being the first cricketer from her State to score double and triple centuries in domestic cricket, she first convinced herself of all the cricket that was left in her and soon her family came along too.
Sneha dealt with the post-pregnancy weight and other situations like leaving her daughter back home only to chase the dreams that make her feel alive. Continuing that chase, Sneha is here in the Delhi Capitals unit to prove to everyone that the sky is the limit.
