Tim Ambrose is a hard-hitting English wicketkeeper-batsman born in Australia. Rated highly by many players in the domestic circuit, Ambrose has been a prolific run-scorer in the past few first-class seasons. With Matt Prior being dropped from the England team, the right-handed wicket-keeper was included in the squad as his replacement for the New Zealand tour.

The young gloveman came into limelight in his debut Test series as he stunned everyone with his attacking and breathtaking strokeplay. The right-hander amassed 204 runs in three Tests. His maiden ton in the second Test was crucial in his side’s victory. He was also showered with praises from several pundits for his slick wicket-keeping duties.

With his emerging talent, Tim Ambrose is surely one to watch out in the future and may be he is the answer to England’s drought of a long-term wicket-keeper after Alec Stewart.
