A left-arm spinner, Veerasammy Permaul made his first-class debut for Guyana in the 2006-07 season, picking up 4 wickets and making an instant impression.
The ambitious youngster has been a crucial member of the West Indies A team and has an impressive first-class record. He did extremely well in the West Indies High Performance Centre tour in 2012, scalping 12 wickets in two matches and troubled the Bangladesh batsmen. After an eventful first half that year, he was included in the Windies Test squad for their two-match series against Bangladesh, where he made his international debut in the 1st Test and picked up some quick wickets.
