Known affectionately as 'Captain Cool', former Indian captain MS Dhoni has long been respected for his grounded demeanour off the cricket field. In a recent social media post, Dhoni was seen spending time with his beloved dog while being joined by his adorable daughter Ziva. The video showed Dhoni and Ziva showing their pet a lot of love and attention. Ziva offered her small hands to help Dhoni brush the dog's fur, resulting in a scene that exuded love and family unity. In contrast to his calm manner on the cricket field, the moment exquisitely brought out Dhoni's tender side.

Millions of people worldwide grew to appreciate Dhoni even more after this touching exchange confirmed his affection for animals and his role as a loving father. The video was shared by the Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) official X, who captioned it, "Therapawtic!"

MS Dhoni on social media

Dhoni, who assisted India in winning three ICC championships between 2007 and 2013, recently shared his opinions on public relations and social media. Dhoni, who made his debut in 2004, saw the emergence of social media sites like Instagram and Twitter, but he consistently felt that if he performed well, no more publicity was necessary.

"I have never been a big fan of social media. Throughout, I have had so many managers and all of them keep pushing. I started playing in 2004; Twitter got popular later on, after which Instagram came in. All the managers told me, ‘you should do some PR, build this and build that’. I had the same answer that if you play good cricket, you don’t need PR," Dhoni said on Eurogrip Tred Talks.

Later this year, Dhoni will participate in his 18th IPL season. Dhoni was retained by the Super Kings for INR 4 crore prior to last year's mega auction.
