DC make big remark on potential retentions.

Rishabh Pant is the only 'definite' choice.

Ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 auctions, Delhi Capitals (DC) co-owner Parth Jindal declared that they will never let go of captain Rishabh Pant. Jindal stated in an interview with the news agency IANS that DC would like to keep a number of its talented players, but that former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who is their director of cricket, will consult with them before making the final decision.

In the Indian Premier League's previous season, DC came in sixth. The club included a number of outstanding young players like Abishek Porel, Tristan Stubbs, and Jake Fraser-McGurk, even though they failed to make it into the playoffs. In an interview with the media, Jindal made hints about possible retentions but emphasized that none of the choices—aside from Rishabh Pant—were set in stone.

"Yes, we definitely have to retain. We have some very good players in our team. The rules have just come out, so after discussing with GMR and our director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly, decisions will be made. Rishabh Pant will definitely be retained. We also have Axar Patel, who is excellent, Tristan Stubbs, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Kuldeep Yadav, Abishek Porel, Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, all very good players in our team," said Parth Jindal told IANS in an interview.

"We'll see what happens in the auction. But first, as per the rule, we can retain six players. After discussions, we will proceed with the auction and see what happens," Jindal added.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) enacted a number of regulations giving Indian players priority. It is anticipated that the regulations will benefit emerging Indian athletes vying for spots in the IPL starting lineups.
