Virat Kohli will be the vital cog for India for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024.

Australia legendary speedster Mitchell Starc opened up on his battle with former India captain Virat Kohli ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25. Starc said that he enjoyed his battle with Kohli because they have played a lot of cricket together. Kohli and Starc played 13 Test matches against each other on Australian soil where the Indian batter scored 236 runs in 394 balls while facing Starc. The Australian pacer picked up his wicket for four times in their home ground.

Team India will now travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 and the Rohit Sharma-led side will look to win the series to register their third consecutive Test series win on Australian soil. If team India manages to do that they will become the first team to register a hat trick win in Australia.

"I enjoy my battles with Virat Kohli, it's because we've played a lot of cricket against one another," Starc told Star Sports.

"I always have some good battles. I've managed to get him out once or twice and he's no doubt scored a fair few runs against me so it's always a good contest and one we both enjoy."
