Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 bound Indian cricket team are currently in Australia preparing for the upcoming five-Test match series scheduled to start from November 22. Team India are currently practising at WACA in Perth to get comfortable in Australian conditions before the mega event. The Men in Blue attended close-door practice sessions and match simulations before the first Test. 

Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood remained unbothered by India’s preparations ahead of the highly anticipated five-Test series. He said that the hosts (Australia) have already played a lot against India in Indian Premier League (IPL).  He also revealed the plans of Pat Cummins & Co. The 33-year-old said that the hosts will come down to bowling on that area and batting with patience and trying to outlast the visitors.

"I don't think there's anything that you haven't seen in Test cricket before," Hazlewood said on Wednesday.

 

"It's going to come down to bowling on that area and batting with patience and trying to outlast them. There's no real secrets behind those closed doors of Indian sessions" added Hazlewood. 

 

"We've seen a lot of them. We play with them all the time (in the Indian Premier League). We play against them. There's no real secrets in cricket these days" Hazlewood also said.

The upcoming five-test match series against Australia is important for India to seal their spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. The Men in Blue need to register a 4-0 win to confirm their berth for the WTC final which is scheduled to take place in England next year. 

With India captain Rohit Sharma missing the first Test match ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah set to lead the side for Perth Test. India fast bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will most likely make his Test debut in Perth. On the other hand, India young batter Shubman Gill has also fractured his thumb during India's match simulation in Perth and as per the reports he will also miss the first Test. Former RCB star Devdutt Padikkal who was the part of India A will feature in the first Test in place of injured Gill.
