India have arrived in the West Indies to play in three ODIs and five T20Is as the two nations begin preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. The two sides clash in the first ODI on Friday, July 22, at the Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad, and the Men in Blue would like to emulate their form from England with another ODI series victory.
However, the side were met with rains on the first day of their practice just a day after arriving in the Caribbean Islands, which forced the side to have their net practice indoors, as was seen in a video posted by the official BCCI social media channels.

Seen in the video was star India top-order batter and Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 winner with Gujarat Titans (GT) Shubman Gill. "We just came from the UK so we decided to have one Nets session. But it started raining and then we went indoors. But practicing indoors is better than not practicing at all. It feels good when, as a batter, you get to face a few balls. It was a very good nets session," said the youngster.
"There were a few specific things that we got to do... I am very excited and buzzed about these three ODIs. Hopefully, we will win the first one, and then the series. It will feel good," he added.
