Jadeja for Champions Trophy

Out-of-form veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will continue to form the batting core of India's ODI squad, but there are at least three senior players whose future in the 50-over format could be debated when the selectors gather this weekend to pick the squad for the Champions Trophy.

Despite playing in the World Cup 2023, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, and Ravindra Jadeja's inclusion in the squad is not guaranteed for the tournament that begins on February 19. India has played six ODIs since the final, and Rahul was selected for both of the away bilateral matches against South Africa and Sri Lanka, while Shami and Jadeja were rested.
