New Zealand beat Pakistan in 4th T20I

NZ seal series 3-1.

Michael Bracewell-led New Zealand cricket team completely demolished Salman Agha's Pakistan team by 115 runs in the fourth T20I of the five-match series which was taking place at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, on March 23 (Sunday). The BlackCaps have also sealed the series 3-1 with a victory in a one-sided hammering they delivered to the Men in Green. Batting first NZ posted a massive 220/6 and then their bowlers walked through the PAK line-up as if it was a cakewalk.

Finn Allen's fifty leads NZ' batting charge

An encounter that made it appear as if both innings were played at two different venues. As where NZ batters demolished the PAK bowlers, the visitors' batting once again suffered an embarrassing collapse. Batting first NZ posted 220/6 and the major credit for that goes to their top order.

In-form Tim Seifert missed on his half-century, but his quickfire 44 off just 22 balls set the base for the innings, following which Finn Allen (50 off 20 balls) and March Chapman (24 off 16 balls) took the charge. NZ had 130 runs on board by the first 10 overs.

The finishing touch was provided by their skipper Michael Bracewell, who produced an astonishing knock of 46 runs off just 26 balls. This helped the visitors to post a massive score on board.

Pakistan suffer embarrassing collapse

The Pakistan team went from 2-1 to 56-8 inside the first 10 overs. At once it appears as if they will fail to even touch the 100-run mark. However, Irfan Khan's 24 and Abdul Samad's 44 only delayed an inevitable outcome for the Pakistan side. Apart from both of them no other batter could score more than 6 runs.
