Delhi off-spinner Shivam Sharma revealed Virat Kohli's reaction after security breach.

Delhi off-spinner Shivam Sharma who was featuring alongside Virat Kohli in Ranji Trophy match against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi opened up a security breach during Day 3 of the clash. Three fans barged into the field of play on day 3 to meet Kohli who made his Ranji comeback after more than a decade

During the first session of play on Day 3, three fans barged into the field of play to meet Kohli. A bunch of security officials rushed to get hold of the invaders and all three of them managed to touch Kohli’s feet before being escorted off the field.

Shivam who picked up five wickets in the second inning, said that this is Virat Kohli's craze and it shouldn't have happened. Someone could have come in carrying anything. He also revealed that Kohli told security to not beat any fan who invaded the field to meet him during the game.

"It is just Virat bhaiya's craze that this happened. It shouldn't have happened. Someone could have come in carrying anything. Virat bhaiya said to security that 'kisi ko maarna mat' (Don't beat up anyone)," Delhi off-spinner Shivam Sharma said on the incident as quoted by PTI.

Kohli made his Ranji Trophy comeback after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a 10-point guideline that made it mandatory for national players to feature in domestic cricket when they are out from international action.

Kohli's last international was in Australia during Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 where he failed to perform with bat. He managed to score just 190 runs in five Test matches.

Coming back to the Delhi vs Ranji Trophy match, Ayush Badoni-led Delhi defeated Railways by 19 runs and an inning despite Kohli's poor outing.

After finishing the Ranji Trophy match, Kohli will now join Rohit Sharma-led India squad for the three-match ODI series against England which will start from February 6. After finishing the white ball series against England, Team India will travel to Dubai for the Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start from February 19.
