India captain Rohit Sharma who is currently leading the Test team in Australia shared a 2024 recap video on his social media on the occasion of 2025 New Year's Eve. The main highlight of that clip is India's T20 World Cup 2024 win in Barbados where Rohit-led India defeated South Africa in a thrilling final to clinch the title.
The clip of Rohit went viral on the social sphere in no time and fans started motivating the Indian captain who is currently going through a lean patch in the longest format of the game.
"For all the ups & downs, and everything in between, Thank you 2024" captioned Rohit.
Rohit is currently facing a lot of criticism for his performance in the longest format of the game. Rohit who is currently leading India in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 scored just 31 runs in his three Test outings. In his last in his 26 Test innings, he just scored 619 runs at an average of 24.76. There are chances that he will announce his retirement from the longest format of the game after Sydney Test.
Team India broke the 11 ICC title drought under Rohit's captaincy by winning the T20 World Cup 2024 and after the skipper announced his retirement soon after leading India to the title triumph.
Coming back to the Australia series, Team India is currently in Sydney where they will lock horns against Pat Cummins & Co. for the fifth Test match of the series scheduled to take place from January 3 to 7 at Sydney Cricket Ground.
