Mumbai Indians (MI) with an intent to replicate their Men's IPL dominance, landed in Women's Premier League (WPL) auction which was held in Mumbai on Monday (February 13). In a back-to-back super signings, they first garnered eyeballs by roping in India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for a whopping Rs 1.8 crore. MI dropped another bomber by bagging the services of England's star player Natalie Sciver for a mammoth deal of Rs 3.2 crore. Their appetite to sign big players wasn't satiated as they went on for a hunt of some more big fishes. MI then preyed on Pooja Vastrakar and Yastika Bhatia's big signings as the star Indian duo were sold for staggering Rs 1.9 crore and Rs 1.5 crore respectively. The Mumbai-based franchise also invested on New Zealand's Amelia Kerr, who got a dream deal of Rs 1 crore.
