Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) garnered the most eyeballs in the Women's Premier League's (WPL) auction as they roped in India's star batter Smriti Mandhana to mark the most expensive deal of the day. Mandhana was signed by RCB for a whopping Rs 3.4 Crore which turned everyone's heads. RCB didn't settle there as they were in a different mood altogether. From Ellyse Perry to Sophie Devine to Heather Knight to Dane van Niekerk, RCB grabbed them all. The Bengaluru-based franchise also picked up some exciting local talents before availing the services of the likes of Megan Schutt, Knight and Van Niekerk towards the end of the auction.

Women's Premier League Format
1. Each team will play two matches against the other four teams. This means that the five teams will play 20 league games.
2. After the league matches, the 4th and 5th-placed sides will be eliminated. The top three teams will continue to fight for the title.
3. The team that tops the points table will directly qualify for the final.
4. Eliminator: There will be an eliminator match between the second and third-placed sides in the points table. The winning team will reach the final and clash with the table topper for the title.
