Marvel Snap’s developer, Second Dinner, has confirmed its collaboration with Skystone Games, a U.S.-based publisher, after facing the aftermath of the game's unexpected ban in the United States. This move is designed to solidify the game’s future and prevent similar issues from arising in the future.
In an update shared via X (formerly Twitter), Second Dinner disclosed that they have already formalized agreements with Skystone Games and begun transitioning operational and publishing tasks to the new partner. By bringing these responsibilities in-house with support from Skystone Games, Second Dinner aims to provide more stability and control over the game's future.
The decision follows the initial setback when Marvel Snap, along with TikTok, was banned in the U.S. due to ByteDance’s ownership of its former publisher, Nuverse. Both the game and TikTok were caught in the crossfire of national security concerns, leading to the U.S. ban. Second Dinner emphasized at the time that the ban was unexpected, but reassured players that the game would continue to operate and eventually return.
To celebrate its return, Marvel Snap is offering an extensive "Welcome Back Package" to players based on their Collection Level. For those over Collection Level 500, the rewards include Spotlight Keys, Season Pass XP, Collector’s Tokens, Gold, Conquest Tickets, and premium cosmetic items. Players under Collection Level 500 will receive a selection of Mystery Series 3 Cards, Credits, Gold, and other special cosmetics.
Additionally, a “Global Gratitude Package” is available for non-U.S. players, offering tailored rewards to recognize their support during the hiatus.
With this fresh partnership, Marvel Snap is poised for a stronger future, ensuring that players both in the U.S. and around the world can continue enjoying the game without further disruptions.
