WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg is gearing up for one final in-ring appearance, bringing the curtain down on a storied career that has spanned decades. While the exact date and opponent for his farewell match are still under wraps, Goldberg recently dropped a few names he'd love to share the ring with before calling it quits.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Goldberg expressed his desire to face some of WWE’s top stars — both past and present — as part of his retirement bout.

“I never got a chance to get my hand around [John] Cena’s throat,” Goldberg said. “That might have been cool. There’s a lot of people that I would have loved to have faced back in the day, but the fact is that you look at what does that do for the business now? A lot of people don’t even remember me that watch wrestling right now. A lot of people obviously don’t know me because they speak negatively of me. I think that I was an innovator of sorts.” as quoted by Wrestling INC

Goldberg also floated the idea of a rematch with Roman Reigns, adding:
“There’s a plethora [of options]. I’d love to have a rematch with Roman.”

The two previously locked horns at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022, where Reigns retained the WWE Universal Championship after forcing Goldberg to pass out in a guillotine choke. That encounter remains Goldberg’s most recent match to date.

A "Logical" Match with Bron Breakker?

Another intriguing possibility lies in a clash with Bron Breakker, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion. Goldberg acknowledged his deep respect and connection to Breakker’s wrestling lineage, given his WCW history with Breakker’s father Rick Steiner and uncle Scott Steiner.

“A bout against Bron Breakker makes sense. It’s logical,” Goldberg noted, highlighting the family ties and shared wrestling DNA between them.

Breakker has been on a tear since capturing the Intercontinental Title from Jey Uso last October on WWE Raw. He’s expected to defend it against Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and Penta at WrestleMania 41.
