As a seasoned wrestler and coach, Booker T values the art of listening—an essential skill for excelling in professional wrestling. On a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker praised Logan Paul, crediting much of his success in WWE to his ability to absorb knowledge from experienced mentors. According to Booker, Paul’s capacity to listen closely might even rival that of 16-time world champion John Cena.
Logan Paul: A Student of the Game
"He goes out, he's very athletic, we know that, but I'm gonna tell you right now, it's just one of those traits you got to have as a really, really good wrestler, especially when you're coming into this business, working with a lot of veteran guys that really know the business. He's the best listener," Booker said. "He's that braggadocious talker, getting under your skin, but I'm gonna tell you, I don't even want to talk more about it, but he's probably one of the best listeners that this business has ever seen," as quoted by Hall of Fame
Drawing Comparisons to John Cena
Booker further emphasized the significance of listening by referencing Cena’s career:
"We talk about John Cena. John Cena was one of the best listeners," he continued. "That's why he excelled in the business the way he did; it's why he understands it the way he does even now at this stage of the game. A lot of guys don't see it from that vision. I get why Logan Paul is so good."
Since joining WWE in 2022, Logan Paul has worked closely with Shane Helms, a backstage producer and his in-ring trainer. Helms has played a crucial role in Paul's rapid improvement, beginning with his debut at WrestleMania 38. Helms has frequently noted Paul's dedication, stating that the young wrestler continues to work hard and absorb knowledge both inside and outside the ring.
John Cena recently turned Heel taking Wrestling World by storm.
