India have played 7 Tests in Edgbaston since 1967 and yet to register a win.

So far, there have been only four Indian batters who have scored a Test century in Edgbaston.

1. The first to achieve the feat was Sachin Tendulkar. He scored 122 runs from 177 balls in 1996.

2. More than two decades later, Virat Kohli scored 149 runs from 225 balls. India lost the Test by just 31 runs.

3. In India's previous Test in Edgbaston in 2022, Rishabh Pant scored 146 runs from 219 balls when most of the batters fell cheaply.

4. In the same Test, Ravindra Jadeja scored 104 runs from 194 balls and shared a 222-run partnership for 6th wicket with Rishabh Pant.

India ended up losing the Test despite setting a target of 378. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow scored centuries to pull off the historic run chase.

Meanwhile, India's bowling has not been impressive at Edgbaston either. There have been just 3 Indian bowlers who have taken a fifer in Edgbaston.

Earlier, in 1979, former India captain Kapil Dev bagged 5 wickets for 146 runs. India lost the Test by an innings and 83 runs.
