England were condemned to a five-run loss via D/L method to Ireland in their second Super 12 match.

This loss puts their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the marquee event in Jeopardy.

It also puts light on an embarrassing record for the current ODI World Champions.

The Three Lions are yet to win against a European team in men's T20I cricket!

Granted that not many European teams play cricket, but for a team with the calibre of England, this record is abysmal.

They have also played the Netherlands at two T20 World Cups, losing both of them!

During the second edition of the T20 World Cup in 2009, England suffered a four-wicket loss to the Netherlands.

They again lost to their Dutch counterparts by 45 runs in the 2014 edition of the T20 World Cup.
