England faced an upset when they lost by D/L method to Ireland in their second match of 2022 T20 WC Super 12.
Chasing 158 for the win, the English batters fell five runs short of the required target after rains forced the umpire's hands.
This is the third time that one of the bigger teams have lost a match in the ongoing tournament.
The first big upset was in the opening match of the tournament when Sri Lanka lost to Namibia in their Group A qualifiers.
Chasing 164 runs, the Sri Lankan batters were dismissed for just 108 runs.
Despite this defeat, the Lankans fought their way into the Super 12 stage of the competition.
The second big upset saw Scotland defeat West Indies to knock them out of the competition.
But it was the third upset, again involving West Indies, that set the ground for Ireland being named as underdogs.
