Rossouw-De Kock rise to second on THIS special list

Rilee Rossouw and Quinton de Kock set up a 163-run partnership in their second Group 2 match of the 2022 T20 WC Super 12s.

This is the second-highest-ever partnership in the history of the T20 World Cup.

They fell three runs short of Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara's 166-run partnership vs West Indies in 2010.

On third is Pakistan's deadly opening pair of Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan.

The duo carried their bat for Pakistan, with their 152* vs India giving them a 10-wicket win at the 2021 T20 World Cup.

In 2014, Alex Hales hit his only century at a T20 WC and set up a 152-run partnership with Eoin Morgan vs Sri Lanka.

Chris Gayle and Devon Smith put on a 145-run partnership against South Africa in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

Gayle's innings in this match also had the first-ever century at the T20 World Cup.
