Suryakumar Yadav rose to superstardom in 2022 with his breathtaking display with the bat. 

Suryakumar Yadav will begin his 2023 campaign against Sri Lanka in Mumbai. 

The 32-year-old batted briefly in the net on the eve of India's first T20I against Sri Lanka. 

Suryakumar's career took a massive step forward after sensational 2022. 

Suryakumar was the leading run-scorer in T20Is in 2022, aggregating 1,164 runs in the calendar year. 

The right-handed batter has also been nominated for the ICC T20I player of the year award. 

It took a long time for Suryakumar to break into the national side. He dominated domestic cricket for the better part of a decade. 

Following his stunning 2022, the Mumbaikar was appointed Team India's vice-captain for SL T20I series.
