In the Ranji Trophy match between Saurashtra and Delhi, Jaydev Unadkat breathed fire.
Playing his first Ranji game of the season, the left-arm pacer bagged a hat-trick in the first over of the match.
The Saurashtra captain dismissed Dhruv Shorey, Vaibhav Rawal and Yash Dhull in consecutive deliveries.
It was for the first time in Ranji Trophy history that a bowler bagged a hat-trick in the first over the game.
Unadkat bagged 5 wickets in his first 12 balls of the spell. His figures after two overs read 2-0-5-5.
Unadkat recently made a comeback to the Indian Test team after a gap of 12 years.
Unadkat played the second Test match between India and Bangladesh in December 2022.
The left-arm pacer was picked by the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2023 mini auction at a price of Rs 50 lakh.
