The stage is set for the IPL 2023 as Gujarat Giants will face Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener on March 31.

This will be the 16th edition of IPL which started in 2008.

Let's have a look at the list of bowlers who have recorded the best economy rates in the IPL history so far.

Afghanistan's star spinner Rashid Khan has an economy of 6.37. He has snared a total of 112 wickets in 92 matches in IPL so far.

 Former South African pacer Shaun Pollock played 13 IPL matches in which he recorded an economy rate of 6.54.

Team India's legendary spinner Anil Kumble recorded an economy of 6.57 while playing for RCB.

Australian bowling great Glenn McGrath recorded an economy rate of 6.61 in 14 matches while playing for Delhi-based franchise.

KKR's spinner Sunil Narine has so far picked 152 wickets in 148 IPL matches with an economy of 6.63.
