Croatia defeated Morocco in the third place match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar on Saturday (December 17).
Croatia scored two goals in the match while Morocco could score only one goal as the Modrich-led side won the match 2-1.
Croatia won a whopping
Rs 220 crores after emerging victorious in FIFA World Cup's 2022's third place match.
Josco Gvardiol and Mislav Orsic found the back of the net for Croatia.
Meanwhile, Morocco, who ousted the bigwigs like Belgium, Spain and Portugal from the FIFA World Cup 2022, won around Rs 204 crores despite losing.
A difference amount of
Rs 16 between the losers (Rs 204 Cr) and the winners (Rs 220 Cr) of third place was at stake.
But 2018 World Cup's runners up Croatia won the match and finished third.
Morocco became the first African team to finish fourth in the history of the FIFA World Cup.
