Kylian Mbappe's hat-trick against Argentina in the final for France was not enough to win them the trophy.
But it does add the PSG
forward to a list which has just one other player on it.
Only two players in FIFA WC history have hit hat-tricks in the final of the competition.
The first player to do so was Geoff Hurst for England against West Germany in 1966.
Messi lost to Germany in 2014, losing 1-0 in the final.
This means that Mbappe joined a record that has been held for a massive 56 years.
Back then, Hurst scored opened the scoring, and added two more goals in extra time.
Meanwhile, Mbappe scored 2 in regulation time, adding one more in extra time.
