While India are playing the third ODI against Sri Lanka on Sunday (January 15), fans were seen celebrating MS Dhoni outside the Greenfield stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
A fifty feet cut-out of MS Dhoni was erected outside the Greenfield Stadium.
Legendary Dhoni has a huge fan base across the globe especially in the southern belt of India.
Meanwhile, the @CSKfansofficial put out a post on Instagram which read,"Another fifty for Thala. A 50 ft cutout for captain cool in Trivandram. MS Dhoni fans forever.."
Dhoni had announced his retirement from cricket on August 15, 2020.
MS Dhoni will be seen in action in the upcoming IPL 2023.
In IPL 2022, Dhoni passed the captaincy baton to Ravindra Jadeja.
However, midway through the season Jadeja stepped down as CSK skipper and Dhoni was back in the captaincy role yet again.
CSK had a forgettable season in the IPL 2022 as they finished 9th in the Points table.
