Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, France has already been hit with the champion's curse.

Controversial midfielder Paul Pogba joins N'golo Kante on the injury table for France ahead of the marquee football event.

The two of them were the key cog in the Les Blues midfield when the side won the World Cup in 2018.

Since then, a lot has changed in French football, noticeably the internal strife between the players.

At 21 years and 55 days, the England international is now the third youngest player to 20 PL assists!

But the biggest concern will be the physical and creative presence that France will now lack in midfield.

During the 2018 WC, Kante had the most passes, most interceptions, and the most possession won.

Meanwhile, Pogba had the most duels won, most through balls, and the most passes into the final third on the pitch.

With both players injured, France's midfielder is now devoid of options in the middle of the park.
