Argentina and Lionel Messi will take on Croatia in the 1st semifinal of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Ahead of the game, we take a look at some of the records that Messi has created and is yet to break.

The 35-year-old is one of only six men to have played in five World Cups.

Messi is also the only player to score in the World Cup in his teens, 20s and 30s.

Meanwhile, Messi has nine MOTM awards, two more than Cristiano Ronaldo (7) and Arjen Robben (6).

He is tied with Wesley Sneijder's 4 MOTM awards during the 2010 FIFA World Cup for the most in a single edition.

If Messi wins the World Cup, then he might finish his WC career equalling Klose's record of 17 wins at the tournament.

Messi is playing his second FIFA World Cup semifinal, and will hope to win the trophy to win the 'GOAT' debate.
