Week two of the NFL season featured shocking results that indicated a wide-open year ahead, with more teams emerging as contenders. Team with lesser-known players and far away from the title have started challenging and defeating teams with profile players and legacies known to be a title contender. It was a Sunday of Upsets as the Dallas Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens, and the San Francisco 49ers were defeated in what could be possibly termed as an upset.
Upsets of Sunday
The New Orleans Saints made a strong statement by demolishing the Dallas Cowboys 44-19 on their home field. Alvin Kamara shone with four touchdowns, and the Saints now have 91 points in their first two games, the second-most in Super Bowl history, trailing only their 2009 team.
On the other hand, the Houston Texans also impressed by defeating the Chicago Bears, who were led by Caleb Williams. In another major upset, the Las Vegas Raiders stunned the Baltimore Ravens 26-23, overcoming a 10-point deficit in the final 12 minutes. The Ravens, who had the league's best record last year and MVP Lamar Jackson, are now 0-2, a position from which they have never made the playoffs.
Shocking Results continued
The San Francisco 49ers fell unexpectedly to the Minnesota Vikings, losing 23-17. Despite strong performances from Jordan Mason, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle, the 49ers struggled to score and protect Brock Purdy, who was sacked six times. Justin Jefferson's 97-yard touchdown and a strong showing from Sam Darnold led the Vikings to victory.
In a rematch of last season’s playoffs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers edged out the Detroit Lions 20-16 despite being dominated in most states, the Buccaneers, with Baker Mayfield scoring the winning touchdown with 34 seconds left, secured the win.

- The Kansas City Chiefs defeated their arch-rivals Cincinnati Bengals in a nerve-wracking battle that ended 26-25 with the Chiefs taking the game. Chiefs are currently eyeing their third consecutive Super Bowl title and are currently on the top.
- The Green Bay Packers despite missing their key player Jordan Love managed to beat the Indianapolis Colts.
- Arizona Cardinals starring their Quarter Back Kyler Murray defeated the Los Angeles Rams 41-10.
