Story Highlights:

St. Brown says Detroit’s nine-point output and failed fourth-down conversions made the defeat especially frustrating.

Jared Goff takes responsibility for missing throws to St. Brown, calling last week’s inaccuracy an outlier.

Amon-Ra St. Brown expressed his sadness after Detroit's loss against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The Lions wide receiver pointed to the Offense's inability to execute key situations during the loss.

St. Brown dropped his analysis of the defeat on Wednesday.

"I would just say, man, it's frustrating losing," St. Brown said, via "The St. Brown Podcast." "And I wouldn't say just losing, but the way we lost, I feel like it's frustrating.

"So it's just frustrating being on the offensive side of the ball and us not being able to convert on those fourth downs put points on the board, how we really wanted to, how we did the week before. ... You don't want to lose, especially in that in that manner. It's not like we put up 30 some points in loss. We only had nine points. We didn't convert any fourth downs."

St. Brown was targeted 12 times but ended up with two receptions for 42 yards. Detroit managed nine points and struggled to survive drives in pivotal situations.

Jared Goff takes responsibilty for the loss

Jared took the blame for timing and accuracy problems in Sunday's defeat against Philadelphia. He addressed the game during his weekly radio appearance on Tuesday.

"I don't think anything feels off, except for this past week I was off trying to get him the ball," Goff said, via 97.1 The Ticket.

"He's (Amon-Ra St. Brown) playing well. I've got to find ways to get it to him in space and be more accurate in those instances. I have been in my career so it's not something I'm worried about. Last week was a little bit off and prior to that I don't think there's been any issue."

The Lions converted 3 of 13 third-down attempts and came up empty on five fourth-down tries. A crucial sequence took place in the third quarter, when Detroit, down seven, elected to go for it on fourth-and-3 near the goal line. Pressure forced Goff to release a hurried throw toward Amon-Ra St. Brown at the back of the end zone. The pass fell incomplete with blanket coverage in place.

Philadelphia's secondary limited St. Brown effectively throughout the game, holding him to a single catch when Matched one-on-one in coverage.
