Story Highlights:

Shilo Sanders was released by Tampa Bay after punching Bills TE Zach Davidson and later went unsigned for the 2025 season.

Deion admitted Shedeur’s fifth-round draft slide with Cleveland completely shut the door on his own NFL coaching ambitions.

Former NFL player and Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders' two sons, Shedeur and Shilo, were part of the 2025 NFL draft. While Shedeur was picked by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round, his elder brother went undrafted.

Shilo was eventually signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. However, he was released by the team after punching a Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson in a preseason game.

The Colorado Buffaloes coach joined "First Take" during Super Bowl week and talked about his family. In the conversation, he talked about Shilo being cut by the Buccaneers.

"But it was tough for the Sanders family. Both of my daughters, Shilo getting cut. He went out swinging … I gotta give him that," Deion said. "He went out swinging literally."

Shilo was removed from the game after punching Davidson and was fined $4,669 by the league for his actions. He cleared waivers and stayed without a team during the 2025 season.

He hinted at taking up other roles after being cut by the Buccaneers in August.

"I've been talking to my agent, and we're waiting on the next opportunity, if that's the NFL cool, but God's blessed me with a lot of talents to do other things other than play football,” Sanders said.

Shedeur Sanders had a mixed bag rookie season with the Cleveland Browns in 2025. Although Shedeur got his break during the 2025 season, Deion Sanders refused to let his controversial draft slide to the fifth round.

The Colorado Buffaloes coach said he won't coach in the NFL after what happened with Shedeur during the 2025 NFL draft.

"Not whatsoever,” Sanders said on coaching in the NFL. “What transpired with my son last year, there ain’t no way in the world.”

Shedeur made seven starts for the Browns, dropping a 3-4 record. He threw for 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns and 10
