The Rhode Island resort refuted a rumor accusing Swift of paying a bride to give up her June 13 wedding slot.

Page Six reports also denied elsewhere, including claims of a ceremony at Newport’s Breakers estate.

Travis Kelce's fiancée, Taylor Swift, was confirmed to have nothing to do with a viral rumor with 1.1 million views. It said that she paid another bride to get a wedding date at a Rhode Island venue.

The story began after Page Six reported on Thursday that the pop star paid a hefty amount to secure the wedding slot at Ocean house on June 13.

The resort denied the rumor through a statement to Fox News Digital on Saturday. Ocean House clarified that it never lets one person buy another couple's wedding date.

“Ocean House prides itself on being rooted in client confidentiality, integrity, loyalty and service,” Ocean House's spokesperson said. “The team at Ocean House is committed to offering each of our brides, grooms, their families and friends an experience of a lifetime when hosting a wedding at our resort.”

It also reminded everyone that once a couple secures their date, it can not be replaced.

“When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family," the spokesperson said.

"Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date,” the statement read. “We appreciate the interest in our brides and grooms yet allow them to confirm their wedding location with who they choose.”

Page Six claimed on November 22 that Swift and Kelce will use her $17 million Rhode Island mansion as their wedding location.

They will reportedly spend around $1.2 million on landscaping to build a large garden and add more privacy filled with red roses, hydrangeas, orchids and peonies.

There were also rumors saying that the couple will get married at Breakers estate in Newport. However, the Preservation Society of Newport County denied it on October 24.

“Taylor Swift is not getting married at the Breakers, or any other property the society runs,” Preservation Society of Newport County's Gary Ruff said.

Kelce proposed to Swift in August after two years of dating.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's influenced Cambridge Dictionary's 2025 Word of the Year

Cambridge Dictionary selected "parasocial" as its 2025 Word of the Year. Taylor Swift's bond with Travis Kelce was one of the biggest reasons people used the word regularly.

A parasocial relationship is a one-sided emotional bond someone feels with a famous person they don't know in real life.

"Interest in one-sided parasocial relationships that people form with celebrities, influencers and AI chatbots has driven Cambridge Dictionary's Word of the Year for 2025," Cambridge University Press & Assessment's Colin McIntosh said in November.

Cambridge professor Simone Schnall noted that fandom can be healthy, however, it sometimes becomes too serious. She said that fans often forge parasocial bonds with stars like Swift because they are good at what they do.
