Story Highlights:

Parsons tore his ACL while pressuring Bo Nix, ruling him out for at least nine months and potentially impacting next season.

The Green Bay Packers edge rusher shared a powerful message of faith and resilience after his injury.

Micah Parsons' season abruptly finished on Sunday. The Green Bay Packers defensive end picked up a non contract torn ACL injury while rushing Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix in the fourth quarter. The multi-time pro Bowler was having a good season after his trade from Dallas in August.

Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones sent his well-wishes for Parsons on Tuesday.

"I'm sad for Micah," Jones said, via 105.3 The Fan. That's quite a challenge," Jones said. "I wish him the very best on his recovery. Michael Irvin said when he had his big surgery during, I think, his second year with the Cowboys, he said he realized what football really did mean to him.

"And he said the surgery really launched him into the best part of his career, because he got to feel what it might look like not to play again. There's a lot of ways you can couch this thing. But, Micah, I wish you the very best."

The four-time All-Pro registered 12.5 tackles and 41 tackles in 14 games. The injury sidelined Parsons for at least nine months after surgery. He might miss out on a few games next season.

The injury occurred when he stormed into the Broncos offensive line and blew past right tackle Mike McGlinchey to sack Nix. As the quarterback tried to escape the pocket, Parsons planted his left leg to change direction and quickly grabbed his left knee.

Parsons had two tackles, a pass deflection and forced a fumble before he got hurt. Green Bay lost 34-26.

Micah Parsons writes emotional message after season-ending injury

Micah Parsons wrote a strong message after picking up a season-ending injury against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

"I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again."

The edge rusher signed a four-year, $188 million contract with the Packers in August, consisting of $120 million fully guaranteed. He also got a $44 million signing bonus.

Parsons' base salary is $1.17 million in 2025, $2.387 million in 2026 and $3.107 million in 2027. Although it will hike up to $40.55 million in 2028 and $43.55 million in 2029. The deal also includes $38 million and $34.4 million option bonuses in 2026 and 2027, both fully guaranteed.
