Kyle Shanahan is making tweaks to his game plan amid the harsh weather in Cleveland ahead of their Week 13 clash against the Browns.

The San Francisco coach is gearing up to fight the cold temperatures and possible light snow at Huntington Bank Stadium on Sunday. Shanahan was questioned about his plans during Friday's press conference.

"Yes, (we are preparing for both the weather and the Browns defense)." Shanahan said. "I mean, the last time we went, they had a really good defense. And this time, they have a really good defense, if not better. The rain wasn't great then. It'll probably be worse now. So, we've got to be prepared for it. It's like that this time of the year, and hopefully we'll get lucky with the weather, but we're assuming the worst.

"Can't give you our secrets," Shanhan responded jokingly when asked to share details of his game plan. "But we're going to air it out, throwing every play. The harder it rains, the more we're going to throw."

Going into Week 13's game, Kyle Shanahan has guided his team to an 8-4 record. The San Francisco 49ers are currently ranked third in the NFC West behind the Seattle Seahawks (8-3) and the Los Angeles Rams (9-2).

Last week, Kyle Shanahan and his team claimed a 20-9 win while securing a two-game winning streak. This was Brock Purdy's second game after returning from injury. The quarterback will be aiming to continue this momentum with a win over the Patriots on Monday.

Even after the win in Week 12, Purdy struggled in terms of productivity on the field. The quarterback completed 23 of 32 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown while throwing three interceptions.

In the post-game press conference, Kyle Shanahan was asked if he had any plans of replacing Purdy with Mac Jones during the game.

"No," Shanahan said. "He just had three throws he'd love to take back. They're all three good decisions. Just a hair late on them and when you're a hair late on stuff, you can't throw behind him and he threw it behind him and all three guys made him pay."

Mac Jones replaced Brock Purdy while he was recovering from his injury in nine games, the quarterback registered 2,151 yards and 13 TDs passing.

The 49ers vs Browns Week 13 game is set to start at 1 pm ET.
