The Pittsburgh Steelers faced a big scare after star linebacker T.J Watt suffered a collapsed lung during a dry needling treatment at the facility. His brother J.J Watt was the first to announce the news on Friday through social media. Saying that the four-time All-Po went through a successful surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
DE Myles Garrett reacts on T.J. Watt's situation
In Friday's press conference, Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett expressed his thoughts on T.J Watt's situation. He said that he reached out to the Steelers linebacker and prayed for a speedy recovery.
"Well, since you asked, I reached out to him," Garrett said. "I don't have his number or anything, but I reached out to him to see if he's alright. So, I'm hoping for the best.
"At the end of the day, our teams may be rivals and they might create a rivalry between us, but he's not my enemy. I'm hoping for the best for him and his health and I'm hoping he comes back soon or whatever, whatever it is. ... I'm praying for the best for him and his family."
The Steelers drafted T.J. Watt the 30th overall pick in the NFL draft of 2017. Overs the years, he has cemented himself as a pivotal figure on Mike Tomlin's defense. In July, the linebacker signed a three-year deal worth $123 million with the team.

This season, in 13 games, Watt has registered 53 tackles, seven sacks, 18 quarterback hits and 10 tackles for loss. The Steelers currently tops the AFC North with a 7-6 record after last week's 27-22 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

T.J. Watt got married to his girlfriend, Dani, back in 2022. The couple welcomed their first child this March.
Following the linebacker's successful surgery, Dani posted a story on her Instagram expressing gratitude to everyone for their prayers and well wishes.
"Yesterday TJ completed successful surgery to stabilize and repair a partially collapsed lung suffered early Wednesday after a dry needling treatment session at the facility.
"It's been a very long hard couple of days but he will come home soon to recover. Thank you all for the incredible outpouring of love, prayers and support the past couple of days. And praise God for the amazing medical teams at both hospitals!"
T.J Watt will miss the Steelers clash against the Miami Dolphins. However, he is expected to return later on this season.
