Robinson's status for the Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints is now uncertain.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson faced a tough night on Sunday, as he was arrested just hours after his team suffered a tough loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Robinson was pulled over at 5:13 a.m. for suspected drunk driving after being clocked at over 100 mph near the Rams’ practice facility in California.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that Robinson was speeding and exhibited signs of alcohol impairment. According to the Associated Press, officers pulled over Robinson and noted “objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment.” He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

Rams Head Coach Comments on the Arrest

Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed the incident during a press conference on Tuesday. McVay confirmed the news, stating that the team was "gathering all the appropriate information" regarding Robinson’s arrest.

"We're gathering all the appropriate information, I'll let the legal process kind of take place. I do want to acknowledge that we were made aware of it. What you've seen out there is accurate. We'll proceed as we gather more information accordingly," McVay said in his statement, as reported by NFL.com.

Robinson's Performance and Status for Upcoming Game

Robinson, who is currently leading the Rams with six touchdown receptions this season, had a solid performance during the Rams’ 37-20 loss to the Eagles, contributing one of the touchdowns. He has played in all 11 games of the season, recording 26 receptions for 384 yards.

Despite his good performance on the field, Robinson's status for the Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints is now uncertain. McVay expressed the need for more information before making any decisions regarding Robinson's participation.

"We're going to see, We want to be able to gather all the appropriate information before I commit to something one way or the other, but I do know that we've made the league aware. There's a process that they go about, and then I'll have more information," McVay said when asked about Robinson's availability for the Saints game.

 McVay on Robinson's Remorse

McVay also stated that Robinson, who is in his second season with the Rams, expressed remorse for his actions. "I do believe that Demarcus has a good heart and never would have any ill intentions, Clearly, there was a decision that's not in alignment with the things we want to be about. I know he was remorseful about that," McVay said.

 Robinson’s Background and Career

Robinson, 30, spent the first six seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won a Super Bowl with the team in 2021. He joined the Rams in the 2022 season and has since become a key contributor to the offense, particularly with his touchdown receptions.

As Robinson faces legal proceedings, his status with the Rams and potential playing time in the upcoming games will be closely monitored.
