Tom Brady has opened up on the toll his divorce from Gisele Bundchen took on him during his final NFL season. The seven-time Super Bowl champion called it quits in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage, and the former quarterback has spoken about the tough season he went through.

The New England Patriots legend was asked about the possible retirement of Aaron Rodgers, who is assumed to have played his last match when the Pittsburgh Steelers lost the game against the Houston Texans. 

Following this, Brady went on to talk about his own final season, which was impacted by his split with his now ex-wife. Birthday, who split with Bundchem in the middle of the campaign, said: 

"My last season was tough.”

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player  continued: 

“I was going through a lot of just a personal family issue, and it was a challenge, and it was a very... It just took a lot out of me in terms of my ability to continue to play,' Brady admitted on the show.” 

Brady further said:

“And I had 23 years of it, so I didn't feel like I was missing anything retiring. I felt like, okay, this is time. I always had a goal, 45. I was 45 years old.” 

Brady stated that he wanted to spend the time with his kids and said: 

“I felt like, "okay, Now it's time for me to be at all my kids' games." They've been enough of their dad's games.”

Brady finally hung up his boots in 2023. He had previously announced his retirement in February 2022, but made a U-turn from it to join the Buccanneers for a third season. Brady, who is considered the greatest QB of all time, spent 20 seasons with the Patriots.

Meanwhile, both of them have moved on with Gisele starting a new chapter with Joaquim Valente, while the NFL legend continues to prioritize his role as a father. He is also focusing on his professional life as a Fox Sports analyst, becoming the highest-paid sports commentator.
