Story Highlights:

Travis Kelce, the Chiefs' star tight end, faced off against the only NFL franchise his older brother Jason ever played for in what became a one-sided contest.

Despite the disappointment, Kelce expressed gratitude for his support system.

The Super Bowl 59 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles was an emotional roller coaster for Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce. The game, which was also a family affair, saw Jason’s former team, the Eagles, dominate with a 40-22 victory over the Chiefs.

A Tough Loss for the Kelce Brothers

Travis Kelce, the Chiefs' star tight end, faced off against the only NFL franchise his older brother Jason ever played for in what became a one-sided contest. The Eagles controlled the game from start to finish, leaving the Chiefs struggling to find momentum.

In the latest episode of their "New Heights" podcast, the brothers spoke candidly about the experience. At one point, Jason Kelce even became emotional as he reflected on the game. A clip from the episode, shared on X, captures the moment around the 1:35 mark.

 No Mention of Taylor Swift

One detail that has fueled speculation among fans is that Travis Kelce, 35, never mentioned or referenced his "girlfriend" Taylor Swift during the podcast. This comes despite Swift attending the game to support him and facing a controversial round of boos from the crowd.

Kelce described the defeat as a "tough pill to swallow" and a "hard reality," marking his second Super Bowl loss in a lopsided fashion. The first came against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 31-9 defeat.

Travis Kelce Reflects on Support from Family and Team

Despite the disappointment, Kelce expressed gratitude for his support system.

"I love my teammates," Kelce said. "I love my coaches, Chiefs Kingdom. I'm sorry for how it ended... Fk. I have a beautiful life. A beautiful life, man. I have loved ones. I have the most amazing family in the world that supports me in everything I do. And they were all there cheering me on and hoping for the best on Sunday."

Family Takes the Spotlight in Podcast

During the mailbag segment of the podcast, the Kelce brothers engaged in a comedic discussion about Jason’s wife, Kylie, and their mother, Donna Kelce, in a "who would you choose" scenario. However, whether intentional or not, Swift’s name was never brought up in the conversation.

While some speculate about the omission, a report from People suggested yesterday that "they’re incredibly happy together," indicating that it may simply be a coincidence—or perhaps something more?
