During the FOX NFL Sunday show before the commentating, Tom Brady spoke to Patrick Mahomes before the Kansas City Chiefs’ match against the San Francisco 49ers. It showed the kind of respect that exists between two legends of the game of football who are quarterbacks.

Thus, Mahomes, who has openly demonstrated his enthusiasm and respect toward Brady, fully understands what the latter has achieved.
Speaking about such comparisons, Mahomes commented on this by saying "It really is quite flattering’. I was not trying to say that because you are sitting here. You did it the right way. What I believe is that during those years total, besides the Super Bowls it was the level that turned in each of the years you have presented and each of the days displayed. You showed up for work, and you showed up to succeed. For myself alone, it provides me with purpose and something to strive for. It is going to be difficult in order to get there but I will try my best in order to get there".
Next, it was Brady’s turn to address the audience as he is moving from a playing career to become a broadcaster. This is the first time ever, literally, being on the opposite side, in the other seat. But still it was nothing more than a fun experience. Patrick's such a cool guy. Presumably, we might have been able to stay there for another an hour or two just discussing football and other things in life.
Brady focused on Mahomes’ contribution in other aspects of life, as he said, "So many people care how he goes about the game’. I focus more on the things he does away from the football field, such as how well he takes care of teammates during the off-season. I know this boy is going to be a great player as soon as the season starts but boy this guy talks the talk, walks the walk. Man, what a performer and I bet the chiefs are a blessed team to have him".
