Earlier than that, the mixed team, including a quartet of Gurindervir Singh, Sneha Sathyanarayana, Animesh Kujur, and Harita Bhadrahad, won the bronze. They finished third with a time of 41.06s and also broke the National Record.

Meanwhile, the women’s team had clinched the gold medal before. India’s women’s 4x400m relay team delivered a commanding performance to win gold, securing the country’s first athletics title of the competition.
The quartet of Kiran Pahal, Machettira Poovamma, Prachi and Vithya Ramraj clocked 3:29.69 to finish clear of the field. Bahrain took silver in 3:30.21, with China claiming bronze in 3:31.02.
The victory marked a landmark moment for Indian track and field at these Games. The Indian athletes held their nerve throughout the race, pulling clear in the closing stages to seal the win by just over half a second.
